CAC-EARTHGREASE 111
First fill Tail Sealant for TBM
CAC- Earth Grease 111 is a first fill grade tail sealant to be used on shielded tunnel boring machines (TBM). Together with the wire brushes, the sealant forms an impermeable barrier between the tail shields of the TBM. It effectively seals the gap between the shield and concrete segments to prevent the ingress of water, grout and soil. It performs best when used in conditions with an ambient temperature above 15°C.
AREA OF APPLICATION:
Tunneling with shielded TBMs equipped with a brush seal system.
Primary uses to obtain-
- Excellent sealing properties and resistance
- Excellent adhesion to any metal or concrete surfaces
- Protects the brushes against wear
