Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor
The Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor (MAHSR) is India’s inaugural high-speed rail line, linking Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Construction commenced in April 2020, with the 352 km Gujarat section anticipated to be fully operational by 2027, including a 50 km stretch from Surat to Bilimora in August 2026. The entire route to Mumbai is slated for completion by the end of 2028, heralding a new era of rapid intercity transportation in the country.
